Raising the roof of Redesdale Hall
FINHUMF was happy to make a donation to the rebuilding efforts of The Redesdale Hall Trust.
The Redesdale Hall is a Grade II listed historic building in Moreton-in-Marsh with a firm standing in the town’s history. Since its first construction was intended for use by the inhabitants of the town, and over the years it has been used as a town hall, venue for civic gatherings, and as an emergency shelter during floods.
Historical buildings are important to us as maintaining public structures not only involves employing dedicated craftsmen with unique time-honored skill sets but also keeps places like these available to the community to spend time in, learn about, and use as a space to organise local lectures, classes, and recreation.
FINHUMF’s mission to provide education and training opportunities, by funding organisations that can provide those opportunities, is naturally in the interest of improving individuals’ lives but also of improving and preserving valuable assets to the community.
The Redesdale Hall Trust has promised in turn as their work progresses to host workshops and an open visiting day for kids and families to come and see some parts of the process of restoration firsthand.
The project is still seeking further donations to fully fund the much-needed roof restoration, alongside other exciting improvements to the structure, and we are sure the trust would be overjoyed to have you personally consider making a donation.
