Queen Mary University Bursary Programme - Support for Students who need it most.
As an organisation long dedicated to education and growth, we at FINHUMF are happy to have helped to establish a bursary program supporting 20 promising students at Queen Mary University of London.
Queen Mary is a university that cares immensely about diversity and inclusion. It has the best record of all the Russell Group universities in England for recruiting undergraduate students from state schools and from lower-income families. This programme offers bursaries for students from varied backgrounds, including those who are first in their families to pursue higher education, those who are often the primary breadwinners for their homes, and care experienced students. The bursaries also recognise those who, despite the challenges they face, are achieving excellence in their academic studies.
This marks FINHUMF’s first relationship with a bursary program for students attending university, an opportunity we are thrilled to explore. Without programmes like this, many students with a desire to pursue higher education find themselves forced to drop out due to the financial pressures of attending university. FINHUMF and Queen Mary firmly believe that through education we can open the doors of opportunity, and through these bursaries we hope to open the doors even wider. Together, our aim is to ensure that academically gifted students aren’t forced to withdraw from their courses because of financial constraints.
FINHUMF's sponsorship will be cumulative, a grant that continues through their years of education, to keep students moving toward their goals. We are proud to stand alongside these young people as they set out to achieve their dreams.
